Vinesh had apologised to the board and the officials have now responded. The WFI has forgiven Vinesh Phogat for her behavior at Tokyo Olympics 2020 and have welcomed her to give selection trails.

WFI president Brijbhushan Sharan Singh speaking to a news agency on the sidelines of an event organized by the federation said, “We have now forgiven Vinesh, she did wrong but she accepted her fault and as you know we usually scold our child at home so they obey us. Vinesh is also our child and we welcome her to give trails”.
The wrestling trails will begin in a few days time, they are scheduled for the 31st of August.
Vinesh is young and a very promising candidate for many future medals and podium finishes. She has a bright future ahead and it’s very kind of the WFI who with ease have let Vinesh Phogat return to the sport, could have gone way south but credit to Vinesh who apologised and also WFI who have sorted the issue delicately.
