The Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) is all set to kick-start it’s 7th edition on the 14th of October; 7 Indians have been roped in for the upcoming WBBL|07. The Indian Women’s team is currently based in Australia for their ongoing multi-format series and that’s the reason behind several contracts being signed.
Sydney Sixers, the two-time champions have roped in a couple of Indian players; attacking opener Shafali Verma will mark her debut with Sixers in the WBBL, Shafali holds a lot of experience of playing the shortest format. Left arm spinner Radha Yadav is the other Indian signed and will look to make the most of this opportunity.

Sydney Thunder, the defending and two-time champions have roped in a couple of Indian players; elegant opener Smriti Mandhana will feature in green for the Thunder. Top ranked all-rounder Deepti Sharma is the other Indian who’ll feature in green for the Thunder, Deepti does hold enough experience to have a successful campaign.

Melbourne Renegades; the team in red have roped in a couple of attacking Indian batters. Harmanpreet Kaur will now feature in red for the Melbourne Renegades. Jemimah Rodrigues is the other Indian and despite a good The Hundred tournament she’s yet to cement a place in the Indian side and she’ll look to have a successful campaign to get her back in the first XI for the Indian side.

Hobart Hurricanes have roped in Richa Ghosh for the upcoming edition of the WBBL. Richa’s performance in the ongoing Australia-India series were impressive in the ODI’s and that’s helped her bag a contract with the Hobart club.

The Indian team will play their last game of the Australia-India series on the 10th of October and with the WBBL scheduled to commence on the 14th of October there still are possibilities of a few more players bagging contracts in the best Women’s T20 franchise cricket tournament.
